I can make it fairly simple for you...
I added to my
<!-- Kyocera -->
<!-- Kyocera 7135 -->
<device vendor_id="0c88" product_id="0021" />
to
/usr/share/gnome-pilot/devices.xml
so all you would need to do is get this info for your Clie

Trust me - took me a long time to find out this info - once I got the
