It would appear that you're in single user mode, possibly with no init
(eg, bash is the init).  Recalling from the RH62 days, there should be
an app called 'open' or maybe 'openvt'. It'll spawn a new instance of
bash ($SHELL, or whatever you want, if you invoke it correctly) on the
next free virtual terminal (usualy your tty+1, eg: tty2, tty3, ...
etc).  I don't have handy access to a FC box, or I'd poke at it a
little.
