FC3, USB stick, and IBM t41 laptop oddities

Hi Pete,
Sorry things have been kinda busy at work so I haven't had much time to
test.
In short it still doesn't work. Details are listed below.

Running kernel: 2.6.10-1.741_FC3
modprobe.conf:
alias usb-controller ehci-hcd
alias usb-controller1 uhci-hcd
Insert the SanDisk Cruzer 1GB drive and get the following in
/var/log/messages:
