FC3, USB stick, and IBM t41 laptop oddities

I haven't been following this thread completely - (do USB-2 devices
work with older kernels?)

You might want to try WinXP (connect the USB-2 device) and see if you
get an error of type:

"connecting usb-2 device to usb-1 port"
This indicates hardware problem.
