----
<http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/jre/install-linux.html>

# locate plugins|grep firefox
/usr/lib/firefox-1.0/plugins

<trimmed some>

# rpm -qa|grep j2re
j2re-1.4.2-11.1.fc3.rf
mozilla-j2re-1.4.2-11.1.fc3.rf

# rpm -ql j2re|grep libjavaplugin
/usr/lib/jre/lib/i386/libjavaplugin_jni.so

# ln -s /usr/lib/jre/plugin/i386/ns610-
gcc32/ /usr/lib/firefox-1.0/plugins/

I think I also created this file...

# cat /etc/profile.d/java.sh
JREHOME="/usr/lib/jre/lib/i386"
JAVAWSHOME="/usr/lib/jre/javaws"
#LD_LIBRARY_PATH="$LD_LIBRARY_PATH:$JREHOME:$JAVAWSHOME"
PATH="$PATH:/usr/lib/jre/bin"
