my OO installation is ok, but the damned Hal update broke auto-magically 
CD drive mounting. I'd worked my tail off getting that stupid thing to 
work and wouldn't ya know it... THEYN FRIGGIN SENT OUT AN UPDATE FOR 
HAL!!! now its broke all over again.
