Is Fedora Core1 'tooo' old?

I do audio work with Ardour and Jack. I still use Fedora Core 1 because
of the fact that I can easily get a good low latency kernel for it via
the PlanetCCRMA package. The 2.4 series is better for low latency than
the 2.6, otherwise I would use FC3. I do have trouble finding support
from time to time, but for the most part everything works out nicely.
