Loose network connection every hour !

If the machine is headless and you loose your network connection, how do 
you intend to communicate with it?

Put a monitor on it.
When it looses its net connection, run ifconfig to have that box tell 
you what it thinks it has as far as a network is concerned.
Is the box getting DHCP leases on an IP address and the leases are 
expiring every hour?
