FC1->FC3 untouched upgrading posibble ?...smashing the head on the machine ... again and again

For what it is worth for you:
November 2004 I updated an C1 (praise to nightly yum :-)) to C3 without 
any problem whatsoever; but I was sitting in front of the machine.
Afterwards I have not even used my backed-up home, etc and var 
directories :-)
