I have had the same problem with Core1 and Core2. Now it's happening again
with Core3.

I have the following config:

Tyan K7 Thunder Dual processors Athlon MB with 3 SCSI drives and one IDE
drive used for backup.

Here's df:

When I reboot with Install Disk 1, I get the splash screen giving me the
choice of the (normal graphic or text) (install or upgrage). I choose
either. I get a few lines saying tha vmlinuz is loading and then the whole
process just stops dead. I am vershtumped.

Can someone please advise what to do or what additional info I need to
provide?

:-(

TIA
