no shadow file?

I have only shh acces.
but, I have a stuppid idea:

if I install fc3 here on my pc the same as the server (same login) then copy de shadow file of my pc to the server.

I dont now of this working, maby its a crazy idea?

otherwise I most go to my server (70 k/m from my home) ant reinstall fc3 again, but this time with the Administration Tools.
