update and package name

Hello,

I just made a personnal package of MySQL 4.x with some specfile I found
somewhere I modified the compilation options too.

I named my package mysql-4.0.20-1.

Then I thought...: "what if the a MySQL >= 4.0.20 official package is
released? It will overwrite my package!"
(I update with yum only)

What are the solutions?

- listing mysql and mysql-server in the exclude= of yum.conf ? what
drawbacks?

- naming the package with an exotic name ? will mysql-4.0.20-1mihamina
be enough to avoid automatic update ? what drawbacks?
