How to get KDE system WITHOUT Gnome Defaults

Here is the skinny.

Goto KDE Control Center
Open KDE Component
Click on File Associations

At the top in find filename pattern you can type what you are looking for and 
it'll point you to where the association is located.  There setup what you 
would like
