Yep! This is a real conversation I had with a MS PSS employee:

Me: "... Exchange Server 5.5 dies with error <whatever>..."
MS: "Have you tried rebooting?"
Me: "Yes, I did, but Exchange keeps dying."
MS: "Have you applied SP4?"
Me: "Yes, I have."
MS: "Could you please reinstall Exchange?"
Me: Go figure!
