Startup hangs after "starting sshd"

Hello,

I have just installed Fedora Core 3 on a dual boot with Windows XP.  I have a swap partition as well as a / partion for linux.  I have gotten through the installation part, but when I reboot the system hangs at the point where sshd started.  At this point my only option is to do a hard boot.  Once it went past this but froze when it got to "Starting console mouse services"  Any help would be appreciated in resolving this issue.

I am running a PIV 2.8C processor, with a SIS chipset.
