ssh-agent not terminating properly?

ssh-agent starts up when logging in using the gdm.  But on my machine, 
it doesn't terminate when I log out.  So if I log in, and log out 
several times in a row, it leaves several instances of ssh-agent running 
for no good reason that I can see.

Has anyone else noticed this, and/or figured out why?
