new install

hello there...i just install FC3 on a pentium III box wtih half gig mem 
and the installation came out good and when i reboot the machine, 
everyworks fine except the display wont refresh...or its like the the 
display has gotten crazy....like when u click on the bar, u will see all 
this crazy things and they wont go away till u move a window over 
it...or sometimes, the window will just stay there and when u  open 
another one, it will just be ontop of the other and ull see everything 
and you cant do anything.....i got the right driver and vid card....pls 
help..... had no prblem with redhat 9 tho.
