Hysterical, ill-mannered behavior isn't limited to F/OSS and the
implication by the above suggests that it is. This type of behavior cuts
across all of man's endeavors and interests.

The notion that if you don't see it, it doesn't exist doesn't exactly
make sense to me. I suppose you can decide, I don't want to see it and
thus, avoid the places that it may occur but that is almost the same as
staying home alone so you don't get exposed to the flu.

Life happens, people say things we would prefer not to hear, people
write things that we would prefer not to see. I don't justify the things
that I read on that bugzilla nor do I condemn them. I saw it as a
reaction to the op having the issue caused by an little considered usage
of the program - which it was obvious to all was considered a bug in
operation and an awkward use of the program's features. So in the end,
there is one over reaction to another over reaction and so on. Sometimes
people need to take a deep breath.

This wasn't your issue - wasn't your business and you have little
justification for involving yourself in the issue. You were asked for
your opinion. You took it upon yourself to involve others to which you
had no connection to the issue or the others - an action for which you
should be ashamed...another over reaction. In the National Football
League, there is a 15 yard penalty for piling on - called 'unnecessary
roughness.'
