Fedora does not have a media kit: you have to download and install 
programs manually.
I think you are searching an audio and a vide player: i suggest you xmms 
for audio (which is included in fedora) and kaffeine for video (try a 
search using www.fedoratracker.org).
For using yum (fedora installer) I suggest you a GUI, such as yumex 
(http://linux.rasmil.dk/mambo/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=52&Itemid=41).
