I have not generally used 'masquerade' features when serving more than
one internet domain name. I think that is the problem - try removing all
masquerade references and either trust client setup and/or
'genericstable' to properly handle outbound mail.

The reason I have to use masquerade is that the mail server is behind a
firewall, the firewall is the single entry point for the domain of
company_a. The mail server has an internal dns name for the protected lan.
Company_b is being hosted by the mail server.

So you think that the masquerade is mucking things up?
