FW: Install problems Fedora Core 3 - Dell OptiPlex....

Oh no - installing with nofb didn't work - the screen still gets completely
screwed!
It picked up the graphics as Intel 810 and searching around I found a two
possible solutions:
1) run up2date
2) update my /etc/X11/xorg.conf and add Option "noaccel" (apparently this
can be removed after the first successful boot)

Unfortunately I have a problem with both of these... If I boot in rescue
mode, or in "linux single":

1) I cant find up2date anywhere
2) Under /etc I do not have an X11 directory! (I've got loads of others like
selinux fonts, gtk-2.0 etc, but sure haven't got X11).

So Im stumped... Can anyone help???

You said that your installation was complete. You are describing a boot from
the installation CD. If that's the case then there is no "a"
required. Just add nofb to the boot option in install (it's one of the
screens).
