Now that you've got a new card, you'll need to reconfigure X; did you do
that? If not, boot to runlevel 3, log in as root and run:

# system-config-display --reconfig

Then, try starting X manually:

# startx >X.out 2>X.err

If it works, great; reboot and everything should be fine.
If not, there should be some useful diagnostics in either the X.out
and/or X.err files, which you can look at after rebooting again in
runlevel 3.
