installation problems using rpm - scriptlet failed, exit status 255

Hello,

I keep getting "error: %post(package name here) scriptlet failed, exit
status 255" when trying to install any rpm file (no matter what the rpm
file it is) ... What can I do to solve this?

Please note that I've downloaded the files from many servers (Fedora
mirror, freshrpms, atrpms) same problem with all the rpm files.
