It should work. My advice is to make sure you get USB 2.0 card reader
(and make sure you have USB 2.0 ports on your computer, or buy USB 2.0
PCI card too). USB 1.1 readers are just painfully slow for transferring
images to compter. That was basically the only reason I bought card
reader (my camera supports only USB 1.1, and I got tired of waiting
forever for images to transfer to my PC).

P.S. (and OT)
D70 is very nice camera that has all non-professional photographer needs
and a bit more. In right hands, it can produce professional quality
work. It comes with usable lens in a kit. You will be extremely happy
with it, if you buy it. If I were Nikon fan, it would probably be my
camera of choice (I already have some nice Canon L glass, so D350 would
be my camera of choice in this price segment). But it isn't really
"high-end". It's Nikon's entry level DSLR.
