He's using this box as a *FIREWALL*, for Pete's sake! And he seems to be
a bit of a beginner, still learning at a rapid pace and not expert yet.
About the dumbest thing he could do is to install bleeding-edge software
(which is *expected* to break your system sometimes) and then disable
SELinux.

I disagree with your recommendation... very strongly. He needs security,
reliability, and a "known-good" configuration. *NOT* the devel tree.
