This message sent via a Toshiba 5005-S507 running FC2 with a WPC54G
PCMCIA NIC installed. HOWEVER, there is a "gotcha" you should know
about. I do not know where the exact problem is, however...

The is an issue with this combination of this laptop with the WPC54G
NIC as it relates to ACPI. Linuxant has not been able to solve them
and I am to green to do so. This is the whole reason I am still on
FC2 with kernel 2.6.5-1.358. The problem does not go away with the
default install of FC3. I am hoping 2.6.10 solve eliminates the
conflict.

Now, with that said, there is a VERY good chance it is the laptop
considering that it is several years old. I have a Presario CM2110
laptop that I will probably install FC3 on today, using the WPC54G, to
try and eliminate the card from the equation (which is about as much I
know how to do at this stage with Linux). I'll let you know how it
goes.

Other than this, the WPC54G is great. It was easier to install on FC2
than it was on a Windows box.
