I'm not sure what the challenges are.  I just get the driver from
NVidia, boot into runlevel 3, run the installer, and then boot back into
runlevel 5 for each new kernel.  I've never had any problems.

My environment:

Dell 8200 with 768 MB
NVidia 5700 LE with 256 MB
Fedora Core 3 2.6.9-1.681_FC3 (will upgrade later today)
NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-6629-pkg1.run (driver install package)

I get about 2000-2300 FPS for glxgears depending on what else is running
on my system.  The response is faster than I am for UT (the original)
and UT 2004.
