I have been using Shorewall to configure IPTables, but too often some of
its default behaviors seem to get in the way. So, lately I have just
been writing simple IPTables scripts, running them, then using
iptables-save to make the changes persistent. In the long run, I have
been getting a better result, and spending less time doing it.
