FC3 crond PAM msgs

/var/log/messages gets filled with the following:

Jan 7 22:01:01 papaya crond(pam_unix)[23831]: session opened for
user root by (uid=0)
Jan 7 22:01:01 papaya crond(pam_unix)[23831]: session closed for
user root
Jan 7 22:10:01 papaya crond(pam_unix)[23851]: session opened for
user root by (uid=0)
Jan 7 22:10:01 papaya crond(pam_unix)[23851]: session closed for
user root
Jan 7 22:20:01 papaya crond(pam_unix)[23874]: session opened for
user root by (uid=0)
Jan 7 22:20:01 papaya crond(pam_unix)[23874]: session closed for
user root
    etc., etc.

This is the sysstat package running every ten minutes as the user
'root' and PAM dutifully announces that in /var/log/messages. How can I
suppress these messages, pertaining ONLY to crond? I DO want PAM
reporting when sessions get opened and closed, I just don't care to see
a bajillion crond messages.
