proper way to write changes in grub.conf

Yes there is.  You have to select to install it, though; it was not
installed by default after selecting some config utilities when I went
through the custom selection.  I just looked at it and, yeah, that was
sad.  You can select the default boot entry and the timeout interval. 
No amount of left, right, or middle clicking could bring up anything
interesting, like actually editing the lines.  Am I just missing
something, or is it that it?  The grub.conf is easy enough to edit by
hand, but it would be nice, if there is going to be a
system-config-boot, that it actually be a little more useful.  At
least edit/add/remove entries.  The ability to reinstall the boot
loader would be cool, too.  Just some thoughts.
