Iptables and firestarter

Yes, that's right.

You don't need to run the /etc/rc.d/init.d/iptables script as a 
"service" if you use the equivalent firestarter script. They 
aren't really stand-alone services, they are scripts that set 
the firewall rules using the /sbin/iptables command.
