Help Starting Wireless Internet

I installed Fedora Core 2 on my laptop. I have a
Xircom Wireless Internet Card (PCMCIA). I cannt start
internet with it. If I do

iwconfig eth0 essid linksys 

it says:

Error for wireless request. Set essid 
SET failed on deveice eth0: No such device.

I tried to connect with my Ethernet card still
couldnot activate internet connection.

I try to go to Internet Configuration Wizard and then
try to make a new wireless connection it says:

xirc2ps_cs device eth2 does not seem to be present,
delaying initialization..


Please help I really want to connect to wireless
internet in Linux.
