Trouble booting fresh Core 3 install

OK, now when adding the 'nofb' I got a ton of white dashes and then the waterfall of color. Incidentally, I tried a command I needed from redhat 8.0 which was ide=nodma. Could that be the problem?

Thanks.

Hello Paul. I'm going to give it a shot around lunch. Thanks.

Try adding "nofb" to the grub command line args and see if that helps.

Paul.
