ssh on Fedora Core 2 and HP-UX 11.11

Thank you.
I removed the ".ssh" directory as you suggested. I'm enclosing a copy of
"ssh -v" (the file "ssh_minus_v.margaret") created right after the ".ssh"
directory was removed from the "margaret" home path. The file created using
"ssh -vvv" (called "ssh_minus_vvv.margaret") is also enclosed. I created
that one while the RSA and DSA information files were still in their
directories. As you can see, both of those files terminate with an exit
status of "-1".. meaning something went wrong. So the fact that the ".ssh"
directories exists and has files, doesn't seem to make a difference.
However, what exactly is wrong, I don't understand from the debug output.
Some of the things that I would have thought were things to look at seem to
be OK. I am also enclosing a file that ends in exit status 0 (called
"ssh_minus_vvv.irene"). This is an attempt to "ssh" from the account
"irene" to the HP "irene". For some reason when I login as "irene" on the
PC running Fedora Core 2, and ssh to the machine "irene", everything works
OK. But when I login as "margaret" (another NIS account) from the same
exact PC, I get the exit status = -1 problems..
I thought the debug comment:
"Rhosts Authentication disabled, originating port will not be trusted" would
be some sort of error. But as you can see if you compare the files, the
"ssh_mius_vvv.irene" file has that at the beginning, yet finishes with exit
status of 0... And everything works fine.
Any help or comments appreciated.

Hmm. You might want to debug this with 'ssh -vvv'. I would think 'password'
authentication should work by default.

I guess this warning just means DISPLAY on the PC is not set correctly
- hece X11Forwarding can't be done properly. (The connection breakage issue
is a different one)

Not sure what exactly you set up you've done. The files generated by
'ssh-keygen' should be in ~/.ssh dir (so you can remove them if you
like)
You might also want to check 'openssh faq' esp
