Thunderbird new mail sound

pcspkr drives the programmable clock chip that makes the PC's internal
speaker beep.  Without it, no speaker sound, but not other problems.  If
you want it to always work add the modprobe pcspkr command
into /etc/rc.modules.  There might be some udev requirements too.
