Newbie question - sharing files on dual-boot XP and FC3

I wouldn't recommend doing that.  Not everything that you have in your
/home directory is something that you'll need in Windows, for one thing. 
When in Windows, for example, are you really going to need your .gnome
folder?  Nope.  Also, as James pointed out, some programs just won't work
if you move your /home directory, via symlink or fstab, to a vfat
partition.

Since I do a lot of writing and some graphics work (some of which I do
need Photoshop for), I created a vfat partition on my dual-booted laptop
where I store all of my working documents.  It's a vfat partition, of
course, called /dev/hda4 in Linux, and D: in Windows.

In Linux, I mount /dev/hda4 to /home/richard/documents, and work there. 
Seems to work out just fine.
