Seriously now, I did see the ogg option and the first thought that came
to mind was thats just audio, and skipped it.

So could I enquire, just a bit of learning here, what settings you used
to create good quality movies on disk?
Oh! and what sort of ripping speeds do you accomplish?

With mencoder a 7gig DVD which is approx 3 hours generally rips in 40
minutes, My PC is a P4 2.4 533fsb with 512DDR ram @ 333fsb. My Hard disk
is a 120 GB seagate 7200 rpm Barracuda. My DVD drive is an AOpen 16X
I use copper alloy ATA166 cables and the drive are both tweaked running
Ultra DMA 1 (Would love to know how to get Ultra DMA 3 going)

My average tranfer speed via network is approx 6.5GB in 3 min 56 sec
with scp. (Its faster to rip via the network than locally from dvd-rom)

I am going to install dvd::rip tomorrow when time is more friendly and
I'll get back to you then!

cheers for now
Chad
