Thanks for the very interesting suggestion. I found a good link on it 
here ( http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/Remote-Serial-Console-HOWTO/ ) for 
anyone who may be interested. If what the doc says about 80 x 25 is 
true, it won't fit my immediate needs. But I'll pass on the info to my LUG.
