Yes.
I know most linux evangelist will say its a bad idea, but I support
having a dual partition. Reasons :
1. If things don't work out the first time, you have a fall back.
2. You need it to play games . The reason I have a win partition at home
is just this.

Linux was developed on the WWW. So, net access/connecting to the
internet/ browsing is something you will not have to worry about.
Fedora has Firefox and mozilla ( www.mozilla.org), konqueror, and, If
you still want to browse through the terminal (cmd in windows), you have
lynx.

If they don't explicitly mention linux, they are Windows only. But most
stuff works out of the box for Linux.
