Update Red Hat 9 with Fedora Core 3?

There are people around here that have done an upgrade with minor 
headaches.  I would prefer to do a clean install as there are many 
major differences.  Going from RH8 to FC1 left allot of garbage on my 
system that I slowly cleaned up over a year.
