(FC4 PPC) Mac Mini Firewire install

Hi All!

I would like to install FC4 PPC on my Mac Mini's firewire drive, rather than
my primary OS-X drive, as I don't want to repartition/reinstall OS-X if I
don't have to. 

When I boot the CD up, it sees the firewire controller, loads the sbp2
driver, and from the console (Alt-F2) fdisk can see the drive, but disk
druid (or the automatic partitioner) only sees /dev/had, and not the
/dev/sda that the firewire drive is assigned. Is there something that I need
to do to get the drive recognized by the installer, or will I have to
install by hand?
