Accounting is up because of the Sarbanes-Oxley act that arrived after
the Enron fiasco. All public companies have to get their ducks in a row
and that requires tons and tons of accountants/auditors. 

However, this is not long-lasting (maybe another 5 years), so if you can
get into that field, go ahead and make $150 - $250 an hour and retire in
5 years (no matter how old you are today).
