When I came across that "problem", what I did was a Google
search, which turned up an RFC containing code. I took the
code, and wrote a main() function to call it. I then compiled that
and got a working program. It verified the images I downloaded.

I can give you either

C source code, mostly public domain, partly mine (main() only)
An executable for i386 built under Linux
An executable for i386 (x86, really) built under DOS
    All of the above

What would you like?

This message made from 100% recycled bits.
I can explain it for you, but I can't understand it for you.
I speak only for myself, and I am unanimous in that!
