Green screen as if monitor is not accepted

Hi Inge!

This is the way that I did it:

  1). saved a copy of libvgahw.a from my Fedora 3 disc
      in a partition that I could mount in Fedora 4.

  2). logged in via KDE/Gnome  and executed a 
      terimal session under the KDE desktop.

  3). mounted the partition that I had saved the
      file in (I use two seperate disk drives).

  4). saved the current copy of libvgahw.a and 
      the did a 'cp' of the Fedora 3 version
      to the '/usr/X11R6/lib/modules' DIR. 


You millage may vary a bit, but that is how
I managed to replace mine.  I did solve the
problem.  I am using a Matrox G450 video card.
