FC3 Mouse and KVM Switch

Hi Folks:  I am having a problem that I know has been referenced here
before, but I have not been able to find the solution to.  I have
googled and googled and also searched the list archives, and found many
mentions of the problem but only one solution, which promptly rendered
the machine inoperative -- it would not get past posting kernel
parameters.

The problem is that after I switch away from the computer with the KVM,
the mouse goes nuts.

I found a where I was to edit a setting in the x11.conf file which
promptly rendered the computer unusable, and I seem to remember a
suggestion a while back that took care of the problem, but in searching
the archives, I have been unable to find the solution

The KVM is a belkin omniview 4 port
