how? Are you sure you didn't change your camera from "USB storage" to
"PTP" mode?

My Nikon CP8800 still works in FC3 as it did in FC3 with no changes in
kernel nor GRUB. GNOME autodetects when I plug the camera and mounts it in
/media/usbdisk
