SCSI Scanner problem in FC4

I'm trying to get my old HP ScanJet IIc to work with SANE in FC4. It 
worked perfectly in
FC3.  The probem is that it misses /dev/sg0 that I used to link to 
/dev/scanner.

I have trid to do MAKEDEV sg in /dev
and modprobe sg  but it doesn't seam to work when I try
scanimage -L

The sg module seam to be loaded though.

Any ideas?
