Your best bet for picking up complex dependencies for RPMforge packages
like this is probably to configure up2date to use Dag's repo:

Add these lines to your /etc/sysconfig/rhn/sources

### Dag RPM Repository for Red Hat Enterprise Linux yum dag
http://apt.sw.be/redhat/el4/en/$ARCH/dag

You should then be able to do:
# up2date --nox --install xine
