Core 4 Anaconda Problems

I had trouble with anaconda bailing out on one system which had only 256 
MB of memory. I added an additional 512 MB and everything worked as it 
should.
Anyway, other than having lower memory, your hardware specs might help 
get you get up to a later distribution.

Have you tried doing a linux test installation?
