I'm not going to try this,
since it seems slightly crazy,
but did yum warn you of problems before asking you if you wanted to proceed?
Or did you not know about the problems until after you said "y"
to agree with the removal?

Isn't this Java stuff non-standard anyway,
as you presumably have to download the Sun JVM at some point?

Personally, I think "yum remove" is rather dangerous anyway,
and you need to look pretty carefully at what it is going to do
before agreeing to let it do its work.
